AT "@" WINDOWS 2000/WIN XP TASK SCHEDULER

Newly revised AT TIME is a task scheduler for Windows. The tasks that are listed in an editable AT.INI are the ones run. These are run in sequence where each must complete execution before the next is executed. Error and event logging occurs to the c:\temp directory.

The tasks are initiated once per day at a user specified time or on a specific day.

Multiple copies of this software may be used to schedule multiple tasks at differing times. Copy the whole directory to a different directory.

Syncronize Windows Folders

SYNC will copy files from one folder to the destination folder that are newer or don't already exist in the destination folder and will traverse sub-directories, if required, to insure a complete duplicate set of files exist in the destination location. Very userful as a backup mechanism. Current version is Rev 2.xx. If you have Rev 1.xx, you do not have the no-prompt feature that allows automatic over-writes.

Shutdown Windows Utility

Shutdown will run a application you specify (or coded into its INI file) then either Shutdown or Reboot the Windows operating system. It has been tested on Win NT and Win 2000.

Splash Screen Blanker

Splash Screen Blanker immediately turns the whole screen black and then wakes up when a key or mouse button activity is detected. Black saves the screen phosphors - good to do on the big expensive CRT monitors. Put a shortcut on the desktop.

Directory Create from Command Line

This is a Dos Shell command line program with arguments. DirFrom creates a directory of the specified path and puts it in a file you specify
Running the program without an argument, shows Typical USAGE.

Example:
c:\batch\DirFrom  "v:\Projects2\>v:\Projects2\projects_index.txt"
Note: Use of quotes required.
The program can translate local drive path to absolute drive paths if you modify its traslation table. For more information, click here.

CIF, Change text in file

This is a Dos Shell command line program with arguments. CIF changes text within a file you specify, from old to new text.
Running the program without an argument, shows Typical USAGE.

Example:
c:\misc\CIF c:\temp\dirlist.txt,C:\data,D:\data
Requirements:

You must install either Ferret32 or AT programs to get the run time files to use this program.

CIF with Waiting

This is the same program as the one above except it waits for a file c:\temp\goahead.txt to exist before executing which it deletes after it completes its task.

Backup

This is a Dos Shell command line program with arguments. Backup performs a copy and verify of newer or additional files from a source to a destination
Running the program without an argument, shows Typical USAGE.
After a sucessful backup, the directory may then be cloned to another location. Each copy process includes a file by file binary comapre and the logging of the file names involved.

Software Agreement

Software for download is tested on Windows platforms WIN 2000, WIN XP Pro and is thought to be defect free. Installation software also provides Un-Install which may be used to remove the program, once installed. SBC assumes no liability for this software use or operation on your system. Some software may overwrite files on your disk. Proper file backup and an understanding of file protocalls is highly recommended for users of advanced software. The most common cause of lost data on modern computers is deletion and over-writes initiated by the computer user.
